The seventh Reading:UK magazine has been published.
The new issue of 3Fox International's business publication focuses on Reading’s Year of Culture, the initiative featuring a series of events which ran throughout 2016, including dance, theatre and art exhibitions, repositioning the Berkshire town as a place where creativity has begun to thrive.
A section (A year to remember) explores the initiative’s main features and another (Wilde ones) gives details on one of the main events, the exhibition on Oscar Wilde, held in the town’s former prison.
Interviews with big companies’ decision makers also feature (Pulling power), finding out why they chose Reading for their headquarters.
With a mix of big and small food and drink venues opening new outlets in Reading, the magazine also reviews the town’s gastronomic offering (Taste buds).
In addition, the new issue sees the start of a series of features on the Victorian architects who designed the town’s architectural heritage. The first of these features (Built to last) focuses on Alfred Waterhouse.
Readers will also find the latest updates on the area’s development schemes and economic data (Occupier Opportunities, News and Reading by numbers).
